Watch: SA Artists Who Have Been On @RealSway In The Morning

By @Lenoir on 06/23/2017 in

For some of you who have been living under rocks the whole entire time, here's an update. We give you, in chronological order, the list of all our artists and Djs who have gotten the opportunity to be on Sway In The Morning for an interview with the legendary Sway Calloway.

First up we have the beautiful Ms Cosmo who on June 6th, 2016 was invited to guest dj on the radio show. Ladies first right? She definitely killed it.

The second one on Sway and the first SA rapper on the show was Cassper who went on June 23rd (2016), same year as Ms Cosmo. Abuti Fill Up was invited for an interview and concluded with a sick freestyle that had social media going nuts. It was also the year Cass had planned to fill Orlando Stadium following his success at filling up the Ticket Pro Dome in 2015.

Next up we have the Supa Mega who went just after Cassper; and no, this is no time to start outdated comparisons so sit down. AKA went on July 6th, 2016, also for an interview and a freestyle which he actually disclosed that he had written prior to coming on the show. Salute to him for wanting to make sure he killed the verse, which he did.

DaKAR was on the radio show on the 22nd of March 2017 just after the show he had at the SXSW International Festival. Kwesta has been having a really fruitful year, the rapper recently had his track Ngud with Cassper go 5x platinum and sweaped the SAMAs, and not to mention getting married - well, having his umemulo. Congratulations to the Da King of African Rap.

Dj pH was next to go and like Ms Cosmo before him, he was invited on the 28th of March 2017 to guest dj on the show. Although it had been his first time on Sway In The Morning, pH has been travelling and playing for crowds overseas as he went to dj first at the Ultra Music festival before going on Sway. We see you.

Last but certainly not least, Sway In The Morning was graced with the presence of Nasty C on June 22nd, who becomes the sixth artist and the fourth South African rapper on the show. Junior is currently in New York for the BET Awards which he's nominated for alongside some of SA's finest AKA and Babes Wodumo for Best International Act (Africa). Junior killed his freestyle of course, and had Sway on his feet wyling out.
