South African music powerhouses Prince Benza and Londie London have joined creative forces for the release of two compelling singles: “Ngiyabonga Nkosi” and “Ngizwile.” Both tracks feature Londie London’s unmistakable, soul-stirring vocals and mark a bold dive into the 3 Step genre — a rising sound currently taking the South African music scene by storm.
Renowned for his roots in Bolohouse, Prince Benza shares that this project represents his evolution as a producer. Inspired by a desire to push boundaries and explore new sonic landscapes, he embraced the fresh energy of 3 Step.
“I realised I could do more with my talent — stepping outside of my comfort zone to collaborate across genres is what drove this project,” says Benza.
“Ngiyabonga Nkosi” is a powerful tribute of gratitude — a spiritually uplifting anthem that speaks to grace, resilience, and the beauty of life’s blessings. Londie London’s emotive vocal delivery infuses the track with heartfelt sincerity that is both personal and universally moving. In contrast, “Ngizwile” delves into themes of self-awareness and emotional growth, pairing Londie’s introspective tone with an infectious rhythm that captures both vulnerability and strength.
This double release not only symbolizes a new artistic chapter for Prince Benza — it also coincides with a major career milestone: his signing to RosePearl Entertainment, a prominent player in the African music industry.
“Our goal has always been to work with artists who push the culture forward. Prince Benza’s track record speaks for itself, and we believe he aligns with our commitment to musical excellence,” said a RosePearl Entertainment spokesperson.
Prince Benza is widely celebrated as a multi-platinum, award-winning producer with an extensive legacy of shaping modern African music. His signature sound blends elements of Bolohouse, Amapiano, House, and Afrobeats, resulting in an innovative yet timeless appeal. Over the years, he has collaborated with both local and international stars, including Master KG, Makhadzi, Nomcebo Zikode, Shebeshxt, LeeMkrazy, Rethabile Khumalo, King Monada, David Guetta, and Akon.
As a pioneer of the Lekompo movement, Benza played a vital role in evolving the genre from its Bolohouse roots, with continued support from King Monada and Master KG. His annual one-man show in Thembisa has become a major cultural event, further cementing his influence on the broader South African music scene.
“I don’t want to be confined to one genre — my goal is for my music to be appreciated locally and globally, regardless of category,” he adds.
“NGIYABONGA NKOSI” AND “NGIZWILE” ARE AVAILABLE NOW ON ALL MAJOR STREAMING PLATFORMS.
