South African rapper Priddy Ugly has officially released the deluxe version of his 2024 album, Dust, today, September 26. Titled ‘Dust Deluxe,’ the project expands on the original album and features a total of 19 tracks. This release serves not only as an extended version of the original but also as a celebration of a trilogy that spans three years of music.
The original Dust album was released in 2024. It followed two earlier projects, SOIL in 2021 and MUD in 2022, forming a conceptual trilogy that Priddy Ugly has been building over the last few years. According to the artist, Dust Deluxe is meant to commemorate the journey and success of this trilogy.
Earlier this month, Priddy Ugly used his social media platforms to announce the upcoming release of the deluxe edition. In his announcement, he described the deluxe as a way to honour the growth and completion of the trilogy that began with SOIL, progressed with MUD, and concluded with DUST.
The Dust Deluxe album now contains a total of 19 tracks, adding five new tracks to the original 14-track album. These tracks are expected to maintain the tone and narrative of the initial release while offering additional material to close out the trilogy in full.
The SOIL, MUD, and DUST trilogy represents a three-year period in Priddy Ugly’s music career, during which he explored various themes through each project. SOIL, released in 2021, marked the beginning of the journey. MUD, released in 2022, served as the middle chapter. Finally, DUST in 2024 concluded the series. The release of Dust Deluxe brings a final chapter to the trilogy, extending its impact and rounding out the body of work.
With the release of Dust Deluxe, Priddy Ugly brings his three-year trilogy to a close. The 19-track deluxe edition stands as a complete summary and celebration of the artist’s recent body of work, marking a significant moment in his music catalogue.
