Russ makes an exception with this next joint by rolling in a partner yet again with Keep On Going. We see him team up with Bas who is right up his alley in mood and atmosphere so it's a seamless match. The joint is reminiscent of some good ol' RnB in the hook and that infectious guitar that kinda carries the body of the song adds that much nostalgia to the track.
Russ will never let you forget the fact that he's done well to live his dreams fiercely being an independent artist and killing it at that. But the joint is not all about that, it's a reflection on life, family, success and what it takes to maintain the dream after all the hardwork it's taken to get to where one is. Honourable mention to Bas' approach to his verse. You'd naturally excuse a rapper for keeping with the slow paced nature of the joint but not Bas. We like that!
