The world over remembered the B.I.G yesterday which marked the 20th Anniversary of his death and fittingly, Faith Evans has shared the album cover for her duet album with her late king. The King & I is scheduled to drop on the 19th of May (two days before Biggie's birthday). The album will be 25 tracks long and will feature the likes of Voletta Wallace, Busta Rhymes, Lil’ Cease, Lil’ Kim, 112 and The Lox, to name a few of the artists. On production we got DJ Premier, Just Blaze, Salaam Remi, Stevie J and Chucky Thompson. I think it's gonna be a monumental release.
Peep what Faith Evans had to say about the album;
“I remember telling Ms. Wallace [Biggie’s mother] that one day it would be really dope if I could do something similar to Natalie and Nat King Cole’s ‘Unforgettable.’ Knowing the love that B.I.G. had for [daughter Tyanna] and Ceejay [his son with Evans, Christopher Wallace Jr.], I feel it’s my duty to uphold and extend his legacy, especially his musical contributions. This project is my creative reflection of the love we had and the bond we will always have.”
We can't wait ma!
