A few years ago, someone suggested that South African rappers AKA and Cassper Nyovest fight their rivalry out in the boxing ring. This never happened, instead, the rappers fought it out through music and rap as we had Cassper Nyovest making "Dust 2 Dust" as a diss track to AKA, and AKA responding with "Composure." This was five years ago.
The biggest beef South African hip hop has ever witnessed now rolls over into the new decade, and the boxing offer has resurfaced. This time around though, there's between 5 and 8 million on the table that one of the two rapper can walk away with, that's only if they both sign the "papers" as referred to on the tweets from AKA below;
Hypothetically. Who you gon put your ???? on? pic.twitter.com/j1k2Y6tr3W— AKA (@akaworldwide) March 19, 2020
The truth is ... the reason the guy has stepped up his social@media assault on me is because we are negotiating a contract with EFC for us to have a boxing match in Sep. there. You heard it first from me.— AKA (@akaworldwide) March 19, 2020
The problem is ... the guy won’t sign the contract.— AKA (@akaworldwide) March 19, 2020
Please tag him @CassperNyouest and tell to shut his mouth and sign the papers instead of dropping hints on Real Goboza.— AKA (@akaworldwide) March 19, 2020
Not capping. This fight is actually happening. September. The question is ... sun arena or soccer city?— AKA (@akaworldwide) March 19, 2020
I’m going to shatter your face in front of your family. Sign the contract and stop talking to me through social media.(please tag this guy) NOW.— AKA (@akaworldwide) March 19, 2020
Y’all think I’m joking. The right is set for September. That’s why he’s been talking about “boxing” in his interviews. Baiting me. Trust me. September. AKA vs Pony Boy. 10 rounds ... EFC ... winner takes all. https://t.co/aJSUPoScX8— AKA (@akaworldwide) March 19, 2020
Everything is set. We both stand to make between 5 and 8 mil each ... only catch is ... he’s taking his time to sign.— AKA (@akaworldwide) March 19, 2020
Now the question is; Is this tournament a real thing and will the rappers sign the papers and make it happen?
