If love is in the air had a face, it would look a little something the case we're about to present to you. The vibe addiction, and an absolute joy to not just listen but to look at too, Darkie Fiction's entrance in the South African music scene has been one of the most refreshing ever. Their energy is amazing, their aesthetic is super African.
Yoza Mnyanda and Kuthulakwenkosi “Katt Daddy” Siboto are Darkie Fiction. A Johannesburg based duo formed in 2017, making music that draws influence from kwaito, afro-funk, neo-soul and hip hop, paying homage to authentic South African sounds of yesteryear. In July of 2018, Darkie Fiction became Apple Music’s South African Spotlight Artist Of The Month. They also kicked off the year in a major bang as they performed at Afropunk in January this year.
