"It's only right that we start with the DJ's cause it seems like the DJ's are the only ones that are gonna be eating."
Slikour throws in a young jab as DJ Dimplez joins him for the first Balcony Interview this year. Fresh from dropping his second album, KUBU, which is a Hippo, Dimplez speaks on how the album is dedicated to both sides of his family. This being the Setswana side as well as the Zulu side. Comparing both his album, he mentions how his first offering, Zeal, was a compilation of singles, but KUBU is different. Heavily involved in the making of it, DJ Dimplez admits to putting a lot into his recent body of work. With this, he wanted to give people something they can relate to, and feel at home with. This mission has completely been accomplished.
