TIME. UMSHADO. UKUPHAHLA... and finally; STRUCTURE.
Over his ten years rap career, Solo has finally found a sense of structure. Grown from and by the foundation formed off his first two albums Dreams.A.Plenty and Dreams.B.Plenty, as he gets ready to release his third album, we are ushered by themes that will form a part of it. The Buks featured "Two By Two" single served as the introduction to the new Solo, and moving forth, we now have a visual representation of the upcoming album as he reveals the album art cover as well as the release date. Having worked on the dreams, Solo now gets to see them as they become a reality on C.Plenty.Dreams.
I've lived the "Dreams" series (DreamsAPlenty DreamsBPlenty CPlentyDreams) for a decade now. Conceptualized in 2008, I began working on it in 2009.— Solo (@ThisIsSoloSA) August 12, 2019
When #TwoByTwo dropped, I mentioned 4 themes that made up the song. I only made mention of 3 of them. The 4th is a component that #CPlentyDreams focuses on. A very necessary part of striking a Balance. Balance is my new objective. Balance being success.— Solo (@ThisIsSoloSA) August 12, 2019
Having broken down the first three theme as he released "Two By Two," Solo now wraps it up with the fourth one;
THEME 4: STRUCTURE— Solo (@ThisIsSoloSA) August 12, 2019
Very important because it's taken a decade to have a sense of structure. It took that long to figure it out for myself. It goes without saying that it wouldn't have happened without the help of my team. More than anything, my team are the pillars of it all. pic.twitter.com/DnCL9gyaQ3
Presenting the official artwork by shot by Austin Malema, Solo, is seen being laid to rest like a king, floated on sea. Supported by the caption "Kuthiwa iLanga Lokufa," which he could either be referring to the sun (iLanga), or to himself, as his surname is Langa. We'll uncover more of this meaning as the album drops on the 20th of September. In the meantime, check out the album art cover below.
