Ase mo States mo!
You gotta love how unapologetic the K1 god, Kwesta, is about his identity and his people. He does Wale a solid by having him on his newest track titled Spirit (which he really has been hashtagging for a very long time now). Is it safe to say that this year belongs to DaKAR? This is the year of manifestation for him. Above and beyond getting his much deserved recognition from music industry bodies, his star has more that catapulted.
Since his trips to America for SXSW (Texas) and then for T.I's Hustle Gang Tour (Atlanta), it seems his colleagues from the U.S cannot get enough of his fire. Folarin jumps onto his Ngud'-esque production and what makes us so proud is that Kwesta didn't have to mould his sound for anything. Wale fits right in on this kwaito tinged beat alongside the bae-whisperer. Everything about this song is so nostalgic. Not only does it spawn from the infectious Ngud', it also has a slow memory of Spirit Chaser's These Tears. World class work from the trusted Makwa. We foresee this one driving the crowds crazy this festive.
