Big Zulu and Daughter Nkabikazi Release Powerful Collaborative Album ‘Undodakazi’

 South African music icon Big Zulu is stepping into a new musical chapter, and this time, he’s not walking alone. In a heartfelt and historic collaboration, Big Zulu has teamed up with his daughter, Nkabikazi, to release a joint album titled Undodakazi, set for worldwide release on October 10, 2025.

Blending generations, voices, and powerful stories, Undodakazi (which translates to “Daughter” in isiZulu) is more than just an album, a celebration of family, identity and the unbreakable bond between a father and his child. The project represents a full-circle moment for the multi-award-winning artist, showcasing his role as a mentor and proud father.

“This album is close to my heart,” says Big Zulu. “It’s not just music — it’s our story. Watching Nkabikazi grow into her own voice has been the greatest gift. Sharing the mic with her is a dream I didn’t even know I had.

At just 16 years old, Nkabikaziis already making waves with her soulful voice, poetic lyrics, and a sound that seamlessly blends Afro soul, maskandi and hip hop. The project marks her official debut into the music industry, standing confidently alongside one of its most respected figures.
