An immaculate ode to celebrate King Kendrick's birthday (June 17th) by a creative collective called Combined Culture. They did an interpretation for his DAMN song, LUST which is impeccably spot on.
The looming misery and danger throughout the picture is what grips my heart. We see a young black man technically wasting his life away in the "street life" and as can be predicted, he dies by the gun in the end. There are just so many levels in the visual. The hope for him to change, his hesitancy in the life he's living and perhaps a depiction of what a lot of regular black American men are reduced to. An almost painful fate. Magical work!
