Watch: @ChanceTheRapper & @RealRemyMa Give Back

By @Lenoir on 06/28/2017 in

This is definitely Hip Hop for a good cause, very heartwarming. Firstly as some of you may not know, Remy and her rapper husband, Papoose, fell pregnant but were unable to conceive due to an "ectopic pregnancy". This is a condition where the baby attaches itself to the fallopian tubes instead of the uterus. A procedure like this is costly and although Remy can afford it, she realised that not many women can. This then motivated her to start up a fund for women who are facing the same situation.

Chance on the other hand is taking a very unique route of giving back to his supporters. He is currently on tour and decided to make it more inclusive by hiring sign language interpreters for his deaf, or hard-of-hearing fans. He has collaborated with black-owned, deaf-owned interpretation company DEAFinitely DOPE and is offering fifty free front-row tickets to his hard-of-hearing fans. The remaining dates for the tour are from the 2nd of July till the 22nd of October (2017).

Very inspirational and we hope many others follow this example to give back to others. Congratulations to both rappers on their respective wins at the BETs for Best Female Hip Hop Artist as well as Chance receiving the Humanitarian, Best New Comer and Best Collaboration awards.
