We put on our Palladium Boots and headed out to the Bakang Farm in Mafikeng with Scoop Makhathini to talk to Mo'lemi about whether he thinks South Africa is ready for land redistribution right now.
Mo'lemi (translated "farmer") decided to pack his bags a few years ago after what he deemed as having achieved his goal in music with his first album Amantsi, and he moved back home to pursue farming. This is quite the insightful chat to watch. It's one thing for us to "call the manager to speak about the land" but I appreciate Mo'lemi's sentiment about the supporting systems required to make it work for us, and moreover keeping it sustainable for generations to come.
