PartyNextDoor pleasantly surprised us with the drop of his EP Colours 2 earlier this month and he goes on to bless us with an entire shortfilm for it. How brilliant. I can imagine the cost and effort of doing full length music video treatments for each song so conglomerating them into a swift motion picture is a win they way I see it.
This is a masterpiece. Although the opening with Freak In You is extremely NSFW, the continuation is stellar. There's an atmosphere of abstractness threaded throughout the video as it sips into love, loneliness, reflection and sheer beauty through Peace Of Mind, Low Battery and my fave, Rendezvous. A certain nostalgia infused by the film filtering. It's beautiful. We love it brazo!
