South African artists continue to fly the flag high as some of our artists have been nominated for the 2017 BET Awards, Best International Act: Africa category.
Mzantsi's music industry has been in a good place as of late. Quality music and quality production, and these kinds of nods like the BET's are proof that our international recognition is strengthening. We're international!
Amongst this year's nominees are the Supa Mega (who by the way is nominated for the third consecutive time) and first-time nominees Nasty C, as well as Babes Wodumo representing South Africa. Also in the category are Nigerian stars Wizkid, Tekno, Davido and Mr Eazi, competing with former winner (2015) Stonebwoy from Ghana. The competition is very tight, but we are rooting for our artists to bring home the award, no pressure. Who do you think will take it?
