Post Post Music is proud to announce that after a week of stand out performances at the Lyric Theatre as part of the SA Indies Music Week Umlazi based hip hop artist Robin Thirdfloor delivered an energetic and emotional performance sharing the painful inspiration behind his music.
SA Indies Week is an annual showcase which was held between the 16th and 20th of December.Robin submitted his music for it then he was notified by email that he was short listed and had to now campaign for votes to ensure his spot in Johanessburg
He then did that and made the top 35 from around SA,he was then called up to make his way to Johannessburg to represent KZN and battle for the spot to represent SA
There were many hopefuls including rock bands,rnb artists,rappers and traditional music artists but he made it through
The young rapper left his heart on the stage and as a result Robin was selected to perform in Atlanta Georgia (USA),Primavera in Barcelona (Spain) and Midem in Cannes (France) in 2016
When he was asked how he feels about the opportunity he said ' I'm very honored to be part of the group representing South Africa on those platforms especially because it will be my first time outside the country, I'd like to thank IMEXSA(Independent Music Export South Africa) for the chance to showcase my music'
The panel of judges included official representatives from Midem,Primavera,Atlanta and well as respected local radio music compilers and artist managers
Robin is currently working on a new EP to be released between March and April under Post Post Music which is a label owned by Tshepang Ramoba from the BLK JKS who discovered this talent in late 2014
