The project, which was originally released as a free album in December 2014, features original music by Tshego and a remix of ‘The Light” by London artist SBTRKT. A bulk of the production was handled by Tshego himself with assistance from Yaw on a few joints, and Naught Wun on “Can’t Save Them”. “Since 1990” has minimal appearances from Tshego’s close-knit fam, through Veezo, Nasi Tau Tona and Wunda.
“Since 1990” includes the fan favorite’s “Out Here”; “23”; “We Okay (In The Dark)”; and “Fomoza”, which has been synced in the 2015 movie “Happiness is a Four-Letter Word” starring Khanyi Mbau, Mmabatho Montsho and Renate Stuurman.
Tshego has officially let this one go, for his day one fan’s and new fan’s he has gained since joining Family Tree, to focus on his new project “Since 1990 2”, which will feature collaborations and production from other artists and producers.
