I kicked it with the homie Cool Prince in Dubane a few weeks back. It was really cool connecting dude. He also happens to be an underdog day alumni. He asked me to share his mixtape which he says should be a contender for Mixtape of the year at this year's SAHHAs.

Peep what his mixtape is about

'When Days Were Dark' is the first body of work offering from Cool Prince, released February 2016. The 21 track mixtape serves as an introduction about who Cool Prince is and his upbringing.

From the lyrics of the project, we get to learn that his parents past away at his early stages of life and was raised by his aunt whom he refers to as 'mama' on the tape. We even get to hear her speak on the 'No Plan B' interlude. The project is not all dark and gloomy, we get to hear a different trap sound on the mixtape as well.

Features on the mixtape includes the likes of Breeze 'Trendsetter' and other Durban rising acts. The mixtape includes hit single 'Sammy Sosa' which was announced on Turn Up by Sammy Sosa herself. The mixtape also includes a series of club bangers that has Durban currently turning up to.

The 22 year old Durban born rapper and singer believes honesty is the key to relating with people. The mixtape is executively produced by Neo Ndawo and hosted by Gagasi FM's Dj Teabag. With this project, the goal is to take Mixtape of the year at this year's SAHHAs.
