@YoungstaCpt x @MaloonTheBoom - Y?Fi (The Internet Mixtape)

By @Spokenpriestess on 01/27/2017 in Stream & Download

It's the 27th of January and you know what that means. If you don't, it means Moshe is delivering on his promise to free us from musical anxiety by blessing us with his 27th mixtape to date. This time, it's just Youngsta and beats by Maloon TheBoom. No features, no warning either, just a straight boom-bap take over.

The atmosphere of Y?-Fi is so nostalgic it's actually hypnotic. The beats are from Maloon TheBoom's 2015 lost beats and they are perfect canvases for Youngsta to scribble, sketch, paint and pastel on. The tape kicks off with a kick and then it gradually slows into more deeper reflections with him echoing the thought, "When the turn up is over, what you gonna do?" Don't be misled by the 15 track count though, the tape is an easy listen as it fleets past relatively quick. Somehow, Youngsta and Maloon have figured out how to lay hard hitting points and important issues with precision. Agh! We are actually not worthy of Kaap se Moosa! I just love his honesty, his no holds bars and I hope that bluntness never fades away. It's either you're with us or you're still stuck on pentium 1.
