#SlikourOnLife Top 10 Tracks According To Our 5 Million Page Views

According to our site analytics (5 million plus page views to be exact) we can now officially drop our top 10 tracks for 2015. Its the last day of the year so its only right that we pay homage to the tracks that got the most views. Our criteria is based on the numbers. Its all numbers.

Here are the Top 10 Tracks For 2015 According To Our 5 Million Page Views

1. Nasty C - "Juice Back" Remix Ft Cassper Nyovest and Davido

The story of Nasty C in 2015 is really amazing. It seems like the young rookie is destined for greatness and boy has he blown up right in front of our eyes. And so it gives me great pleasure in announcing Nasty C "Juice Back" remix featuring Cassper Nyovest and Davido as the number one track on the site in 2015. Nasty C took his opportunity well in this record by sticking in his lane and dropped some heavy and iconic lines for a young rookie.

Watch this interview below where Nasty C talks about how he shoots x edits his music videos x his come up story x what he did after winning UnderdDogDay on Miss Cosmos show and how he got on Dj Switch 'Way It Go' single

2. Emtee - Roll Up Remix Ft AKA x Wiz Kid

Another rookie who had a good 2016 is Emtee. He recently dropped his debut album titled "Avery" and is destined to be another cat we need to look out for in 2016. But Emtee really sealed the deal with his "Roll Up Re Up" and punched well above his weight even though he was alongside the continents best in AKA and WizKid. Its very interesting that Emtee's name is always alongside Nasty C's name. It kinda reminds me of of two other well known rappers in the game.

Remember this touching speech that Emtee gave at the SA Hip Hop awards? The part where he would borrowed his friends shoes is really touching. But homie now can afford to buy his own shoes. Watch how Emtee explains this story in the video below.

3. Sean Pages - "Blind Remix" Ft Dj Dimplez,Kwesta,Kid X,L-Tido x Towdeemac

Sean Pages takes our number 3 spot as the OG in our top 10 SA Hip Hop tracks for 2015. "Blind" is still a banging track and it had some dope verses from Kwesta x Kwesta,Kid X,L-Tido x Towdeemac. I sure hope that we get more music from Sean Pages in 2016.

4. LTido - Dlala Ka Yona

Dlala Ka Yona was the one single that had a long tenure and a life of its own in 2015 meaning that it dropped as a single, followed by a highly topical music video that got people talking and it lastly earned Tido a spot in MTV Base SA Hottest MC 2015 list. I wonder what the album will sound like cause Tido said its coming.

We dropped our balcony interviews with LTido and Sean pages where they talked rappers and relationship advice. Somewhere in between these hilarious videos Sean Pages spoke of the music and the videos that they would drop in 2015. Watch the interview below

5. Smashis x Kwesta x Kid X - Night n Day

Smashis was rather quiet in 2015 but he eventually dropped his long awaited "Simelane Ep" on his birthday and it was really worth the wait. "Night n Day" which features Kwesta and Kid X is extra special because it has 3 mc's who are all from the same era who really complement each other in all possible ways. If there was ever to be a super crew Kwesta x Smashis x Kid X are it.

6. Dj Sliqe x WTF x Okmalumkoolkat x JR - iLife

iLife by Dj Sliqe featuring WTF x Okamlumkoolkat and JR takes the 6th spot in our top 10 hip tracks of the year. What I like about this track is that Dj Sliqe managed to bring out the best in WTF x Okmalumkoolkat further reinforced the zulu raps and his overall lyrical ability. JR however was the one who seemed to standout in my opinion. I remember his lyrics which reinforced how he is a vet and can still hold it down and is not afraid to make this point well known in the game. Thats for everyone born after 1992 though.

7. K2 -Lit

Watch this interview where Slikour talks to K2 about the Downloads and Big Brother Africa and the work he has put in as an artist

Before we start talking about the insane amount of downloads that K2 managed to garner on the site in 2015 something else needs to be mentioned. It is very easy to be on reality TV and think that you are destined for a rap career. I really like how K2 moves, I admire how he has managed to cultivate his fan base (The Royals) and the way he has taken them from Big Brother to being his music audience online.

Oh about the downloads K2 managed to acquire 309 474 downloads in total as part of his K2 Friday feature. Not bad reality star right? Lit is a standout track that made sure K2 becomes that artist that he is destined to become.

8. Nadia Nakai - "Baddest Remix"

Watch the interview where Nadia explains how there is no loyalty in hip hop and how everything is all about whats popping right now

Nadia Nakai "Baddest Remix" occupies the number 8 spot in our countdown. Its crazy how this track is in the top 10 and the original version of the record is not in the top 10 list yet. The real story of this record goes to show how rap is a sport. Nadia was made fun of on social media for not being included on the record. But Nadia silenced the critics by dropping her own version and at the end of the day proved that female MC's in the game are a force to be reckoned with.

I am sure you are keen to hear how Nadia feels about being left out Baddest Remix right? Don't worry we got you. Watch the video below where she breakdown how she really feels and more

9. Dot Com x Kwesta x Nadia Nakai - "Phola"

Dot Com did a fantastic job holding down some interviews for SlikourOnLife in 2015. He can also admit that he was very quiet with the music. Azishe and Emotional in my opinion are the most slept on tracks in 2015. Looking into the future however Dot Com did promise that he will be dropping an RNB album in 2016. In terms of our top 10 countdown Dot Com's "Phola" featuring Kwesta and Nadia Nakai takes the number 9 spot.

10. PDot O x Kwesta x Buks x Blak Lez x Ginger Trill - "Move Over Remix"

Closing off our top 10 tracks of the year is Pdot O's Move Over remix. The story about this track is that it has some heavy rhyme spitters and I also think its dope that a track that you should be listening to right now as the year ends.
