Welcome to the Red Couch with myself (Spokenpriestess) - I'm writing it cause someone actually once asked who "myself" was. Anyway, this is the new addition to the SOL feat where I'll be connecting with some artists on their work, train of thought and whatever comes to mind.
We stripped down with Gigi Lamayne ahead of her My Ugly Boy drop to find out what or who the song is really about, and the idea behind it is pretty dope. I also asked her about her transition into what looks like a "bad girl" currently, as well as how far she actually is from hitting gold with iGenesis. We also spoke about her relationship with Mabala Noise and her fellow counterparts in the game right now. I love some of the points she makes about how female rappers are perceived and how she talks about growing up.
