Ey! Let music and love reign today'o. It was not so long ago that I was saying I am patiently waiting for a project from this dude and he was like "khululeka". Now look at us. This my dearest Onlifer is Masandi's Escalation EP. The short piece is a shower of sweetness overload and immaculate musicality fused with dope songwriting.
I'm really proud of this one. He opens the EP with his 2016 single Ngane Yabantu that just about almost drove people crazy. He features Awgust Rush, Aewon Wolf, Nana Atta, Captain Blu and Big Nuz in this sonic magic show. It's quite interesting how you think you're gonna get a smooth ride all the way to the end till Masandi switches up the vibe from Wololo and rolls into some trap and house influenced flavours thereon. I cannot believe he redid the classic I'll Be which I think was done by DJ Bongz in the 2000's (correct my memory'o). I'm happy!
