King SweetKid caught my attention last year with his Sugar Season mixtape and then his track Strong which he dropped shortly after. I was most impressed by his presentation, his branding, the way he packaged his music and then how good he actually sounded. I was excited in fact. He has dropped the Sugar Season Deluxe mixtape with 5 more tracks and you can literally hear the evolution of the artist as the tape gets deeper. He kicks the tape off with his older joints and a joint with Candice Pillay, Letter then proceeds till my attention is pulled deeper in That Much, and TDK where my ears totally raise. Come to Lowkey and Welcome To Forever where I'm swooning over his sincerity on this joint. Get High knocks harder into that sensitivity with the mature sounding production and vocal. Then Numbers which takes us closer to a Strong finish. Look, this kid is special. He's set to drop another mixtape later this year so bet we'll be keeping tabs on him.
