On The Ground: @GuiltySimpson @Supakaine @YoungRJ313 Talk Detroit Unity, J Dilla x Sean Price Legacies, Writing

By @Spokenpriestess on 07/10/2017 in

We sat down with Guilty Simpson, Supakaine and Young RJ to dissect the unity of Detroit artists that has stood the test of time with multiple generations and they owe it to the continuation of J Dilla's legacy. So powerful to be someone who has impacted the culture so much that your way of life is continued years after you're gone. Inspiring.

The fellas also chop up their writing process and to them it all starts with the music. It speaks to what they want to say before they write anything down. Supakaine tells us about what his project Ghetto America represents; Guilty Simpson talks about the kind of person Sean Price was, and Young RJ tells us why he crossed over to being more than just a producer.
