Somewhat of an "underdog" in his squad, star wordsmith Rockie Fresh comes through with a new rendition of his old track Nobody from his 2013 mixtape Electric Highway. The new freestyle is notably more pacy than the original which was more elusive padded with intoxicating production.
The Praise Freestyle serves just that purpose. Gift (his producer) cleverly samples the same atmosphere off the 2013 piece and infuses it with some raw sounding funk drums and a looping "organ" on this sped up remix. Like a letter to himself Rockie talks about when he knew he had fallen in love with hip hop; how far he's come, and the lifestyle he lives at present. A reflection on his career and the scene around him. Loving the direction of this song. It's like looking in the mirror and seeing how you can improve yourself and then putting it into music. Brilliant!
