Jay Z @S_C_ The First Rapper In Songwriters Hall Of Fame

By @Spokenpriestess on 02/23/2017 in

That's what king Hov had to say about him being the first rapper to be inducted into the Songwriters Hall Of Fame. He's right, this is massive for hip hop. The Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame is on the ball with hip hop acts being recognised for their greatness with Tupac Shakur set to be inducted as the 6th hip hop act on the roster this April. But we can all attest to the fact that hip hop has saved MANY lives, changed many a status quo and has been an outlet for the voiceless since the beginning of time. This right here is hope. This says that nothing is ever in vein and that ultimately, real recognise real.

President of the Songwriters Hall of Fame, Linda Moran, says that Jay Z has previously been nominated for this call but it took a little bit of educating for the board to understand the validity of this nomination. This is dope yo! Shout out to Hov for opening the fort for many a great wordsmiths to follow in his footsteps years from now.
