Interviews are like ads, say something to sell yourself. Imagine Coke frowning folding its hands saying "you know what I'm saying"? Interestingly, the biggest brands are constantly try to make a statement. Don't waste the opportunity to let people know what makes your product special.
Some media folks are cool they're just trying make a living. Be their friends and don't take what they say personally as long as your fam and those that matter know your truth.
Everyone else is taken. We can spot a fake a mile away. Be you. We don't need another Travis Scott. We need you.
Invest that sh! In music your lifespan is like three years, your life on the other hand will span forever so I suggest you save cause it never comes in at the same pace. I mean, when you at your peak as an artist doing shows and interviews it's almost impossible to be on top of a business that needs you on a day to day basis, you just wont have the energy. If you're starting a business and you have a family member who has no experience in that world don't do that. Rather invest in an established busines that's been running for years or learn more about being a venture capitalist.
Watch the hearts you break, them campus girls will be managers for some firms in a couple of years and you best believe karma is a b!@$, especially when she saying sh! like "I thought you were rich?"
If you believe those cats you'd think your music is sh! Most of those cats aren't forward thinking they want to hear the same thing.
Dont believe the hype but believe in your own hype, this industry will drop you just as soon as you think they loving you.
You sometimes come up with a few people but there's a reason why destiny chooses you to be the star. Embrace your position as a leader, ask yourself whether your management team that started with you is fit to to navigate you through the industry. If not, you have to make hard decisions and if they're really for your success they'll also put you in hands that can match your growth. There aren't enough experienced and capable managers in the black South African music pool, I can honestly count them on one hand. So if guys like Thabiso Khati, Refiloe Ramagose, Rapheal Benza and T-Lee give you a shout maybe you should consider learning and listening to them. They might not know your story but they might know enough to get it out there.
