We finally get the magnificent motion picture for Thuto's Destiny which we saw Cassper Nyovest say he was shooting for a few weeks back while Goapele was in town. Needless to say, my heart is in my chest at how sad and suspenseful the visual is.
We see two sides of life as Goapele reminisces on her apparently past love with Cassper, while Cassper on the other hand is like a mad scientist meticulously assembling his heart's desire - "the one" - in a lab. I love how they've made the high definition technology the silent narrator in this video as two worlds meet in the air before them reading memories, biology updates and even life's status itself towards the end when we see Goapele's love finally fade away forever. It's very rare that rappers directly translate their lyrics into the treatment of their videos and on this one Cassper hits the nail on the head. Especially with this unmoving ache in your heart the whole time as you watch.
