@MulaloTeddy An Illustration Series Inspired By The Rise Of The New Skool

By @Slikour on 07/06/2016 in

This is super dope. MulaloTeddy sent us these dope illustrations acknowledging the rise of the new school.
Check the rationale behind his madness.
*New Skool Rise is an illustration series inspired by new artists (2015-2016) that had a huge influence in shaping the current state of South African Hip hop. Every illustration piece is themed around the song that was a vehicle of the artist's break through into the music industry. For example, if the song is about ‘ice creams’

by Gigi Lamayne, her face is formed with ice cream cones. The reason I chose to do this project is mainly because I use music as a reference in
most of my work, particularly Hip Hop most of the time. I could not ignore the wave
and buzz around the up and coming young South African Hip Hop artists. The
success of their careers is what drove this illustration series and I intend to extend
the series by adding a few more pieces in the next few months as more artists
emerge to the music scene.*
