Gangster Party serves as the latest official single off the eagerly anticipated debut album Pegasus. This track fuses two distinct eras in the 90s and the combination culminates in this upbeat and nostalgic MONSTER! Using the "Ooh Song" sample from the mid tempo era as a backdrop, the hook provides a ode to local Kwaito legends Trompies and more specifically Spikiri with the signature "Ain't nothing but a Gangster Party" phrase which was made popular by West Coast hip hop legends like Snoop Dogg in the 90s. This Kwaito/mid tempo/hip hop marriage is testament to creativity that is Buks!
