What a time to be alive so much music and unexpected collaborations popping out right now. Dj Slim who used to be Riky Rick's man on the decks drops a new joint with Emtee, Cassper Nyovest, Yanga and Tshego.

DJ Slim has perfected his skill over 10 years to enable him to wow crowds and keep his audience on the dance floor through his ability to mash up Hip Hop (old school and new school) Kwatio and house. Apart from being a club DJ he is also a former radio presenter on a Bloemfontein local youth radio station Kovsie FM 97.0 which he held a number of positions during his tenure at the station from 2009 to 2011.
In 2011 he was the MacDonald’s Top Jock Competition regional Winner, where he progressed to the national finals. (Let it be known that at the time of winning the competition he went by the name DJ SK which he later changed to DJ Slim.)
In 2012 he graduated from Soul Candi Institute of Music in the DJ102 (advanced) course and then in 2013 he graduated in Studio engineering and Music Production, also from the Soul Candi institute of music.
Over the years he has released a number of mixetapes (mixes) which have been featured on a number of Radio Stations such as, 5fm( The Stir Up), Mafikeng Fm, Kovsie Fm and Gagazi Fm and in late 2014 he released a series of mixes for online distribution on poplar nightlife Blog site Zkhiphani.com.
In January 2015 he was featured in Zkhiphani.com’s, print magazine as one of 15 Celebrities set to take over in 2015 along side Producers Anatii and Luntik and Idols SA 2014 winner Vincent Bones just to mention a few.
In his career he has played across South Africa, in all its major cities, and has opened for a number of national and internationally recognised DJ’s and artists such as:
