Award Winning DJ @Sliqe Set To Drop His Debut Album

Injayam uSliqe! The much anticipated album from the first hip hop DJ to win a SAMA is upon us. Popularly known for his hit singles Do like I Do, iLife and recently Mercy, DJ Sliqe is ready to dish a full course meal, marking his debut studio album titled Injayam Vol. 1 set to drop 14th October 2016.

Sliqe promises to deliver a high-energy and game-changing offering and we can trust him to, having juggled between sets and making studio time this past year working on it. The star-studded album features predominant game-players and award winning artists like AKA, Riky Rick, Shekhinah Donnell, Kwesta, Da Les, Ma E, JR, Yanga, Shane Eagle and many others.

"The idea was not to pack the album with stars, but to use a formula that exploits the artists' true qualities which is sustainable within the genre. I have incorporated colleagues that I know love their craft and are ground-breakers" he said.

The self-taught DJ, who co-produced the piece, says that he uses his music to unify the youth through messages of hope, success and self-reliance. "It cannot always be about [the] club scene because I feel it is important to deliberate on current youth issues and play my role as an agent of change.” says Sliqe.

The DJ recently took to social media with a teaser for fans announcing that he couldn't wait to drop the artwork and tracklist for the album as the title and release date were not yet published. He dropped a couple of songs from the upcoming album in a mix he played on his Touch Central show Inja-Yami which goes live every Friday between 6-8 pm.

With his consistency and reputation it is without a doubt that the masses will find satisfaction with what DJ Sliqe is serving up, yearning for more. The album pre-order becomes available on 07th October, along with the first single off the album titled Bay’2 featuring AKA, Yanga and JR. After that, the worldwide release of the album is on 14th October 2016. CAN'T WAIT!
