ASAP Rocky dropped his album a week earlier when it was supposed to drop on June 2. This is very smart considering the fact that internet trolls were prolly going to leak the album. In any case the album is available on iTunes and I copped myself a copy and these are the 5 things that suprised me about this trill album.
I fell in love with Canal St the moment i heard him start spitting on that joint. It was always going to be tough for Rocky to come across with his lyrics. In this album he did and he went HARD AF..
Trust Rocky to take us on a journey on this album. Well he did and if you have not listened to the album you should listen from track 1 to the end. You will be taken on a journey from fashion, LSD drugs, the comeup story and how pretty he is.
In his recent interviews Rocky has been talking about the sound he's going for. I won't lie im not sure what to call this sound but it sounds TRILL x TRIPPY x Codene influenced sound. This is the major reason why this album may do well this year. Its got a dope sound that rejuvenates Rocky in the game.
I must admit when I first learned that he was going to have collabs with Lil' Wayne, Kanye West, Nez & Rio, Schoolboy Q, Clams Casino, Juicy J, James Fauntleroy I was like damn thats a mistake cause those cats could easily take the spot. Never that !!! The collabs in their own right give A.L.L.A a more deeper meaning x doper sound.
On track 14 tited "Better things" he says the following about Rita Ora who he was rumored to be dating - " “I swear that bitch Rita Ora got a big mouth/ Next time I see her might curse the bitch out/ Kicked the bitch out once ’cause she bitched out/ Spit my kids out, jizzed up all in her mouth and made the bitch bounce.”
