He's an American producer born in Los Angeles, CA who is half Gambian & half Congolese, raised in Johannesburg.

2. The Start Of his Music Journey:

He relocated back to his place of birth, Los Angeles at age 17 to pursue his music career where he attended the SAE Institute in Los Angeles & obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Audio Engineering.

3. Some Of His Early Credits:

KJ Conteh started working on production for Dr. Dre at record Label Aftermath in 2010. He also worked for Dr. Dre for over 6 months right before Dre release of “Compton” under the production team lead by Sly Pyper and A&R at the time of Brandon Lamela. He has gone on to working on Production for artists like 50cent, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Wiz Khalifa, Kurupt, Daz Dillinger, T.I., Drake, Xzibit, Slim tha Mobster, Rich Boy, Roscoe from DPGC, Wash, WC (West Coast Connection), Jelly Roll, Sly “Jordan” Pyper, Crooked I, Latoya Williams, Spectacular from Pretty Ricky, Compton Menace, and many more.

4. His First Big Move:

KJ's first big Single was “HAPPY NEW YEAR” by 50 cent.

5. Where He Is now & Where He's Headed:

Snoop Dogg placed his ear on KJ Conteh's production and from then on it was history & KJ Conteh became one of Snoop Dogg’s right hand producer. KJ Conteh is currently working on Snoop Dogg’s Solo album set to come out sometime this year in July of 2016 and KJ Conteh is currently one of the Head Producers of Snoop Dogg's revived "Doggy Style Records".

