She confirmed that she is licensing her debut album to the major label and will be releasing it with them real soon.
She's got a lot to say and it's admittedly been a minute since she popped onto our radar so all that growing up and going through the motions will sure serve as good stories on this album.
The likes of Dj Maphorisa (on Suited), Sketchy Bongo, Gemini Major and Scales & Goofy are on deck for this album. It's going to be sonic heaven.
Naturally, when working with more than yourself and especially under the direction of a music label you will have to make changes to your initial work but that's the beauty of the whole creating process. She says the album has had many adjustments to date. No pressure, but this practically means it's gonna be perfection.
If you follow her and study her motions, you'll realise that she is a calm, loving and liberal kinda girl. Her music to begin with always has to be organic but even just her aura is so laid back and soothing. She totally vibrates on a different frequency.
Apart from recently working with the world renowned DJ Black Coffee (I had to squeeze that in like that), Coke Studio Africa (Kenya) has enlisted her on a collaboration with Jason Derulo (USA) and Falz The Bahd Guy (Nigeria). THIS IS ONLY THE BEGINNING I SAY!
I say that because I am one too. Scribblers have to always write things down. Nothing makes sense unless it's written in pen on paper. She writes down her goals, and pretty much everything. I wonder if she also writes letters and cards...
Something that might turn your head a bit but I think is completely natural. Sometimes when you love something so much it's not enough to just do it. You want to know more about the makings of it. Shekhinah wants to eventually become an international songwriter (particularly for American artists) and also get into production in the near future. You go girl!
