Deep Soweto member and Kasi Rap icon, Siya Shezi’s 2011 album ‘Iqaba’ is now on DSPs more than 10 years since its release.
‘Iqaba’ dropped at a time when Kasi Rap was having a moment especially on YFM’s ‘The Full Clip On Siz N Scoop’.
‘Iqaba’ features the likes of F-Eezy, Chaka Dolla, MaseVen, King Flo and a few others.
When Siya Shezi announced that the album was now streaming earlier in the week, old fans were elated, showering the rapper with praises as they went down memory lane bumping the Kasi Rap classic.
Among those were producer SPeeKa who mentioned he produced four songs on the project, did the tracklisting and designed the artwork. “The tape is easily one of my career highlights,” SPeeKa said.
